男低音/賽巴斯汀.霍勒契克 Sebastian Holecek

Austrian bass-baritone Sebastian Holecek made his Royal Opera Covent Garden debut in 2013 as Speaker of the Temple (Die Zauberflöte) and has since sung Count Monterone (Rigoletto) for the Company. In the 2016/17 Season he returns to sing Fritz Kothner (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg).
Holecek was born in Vienna and studied at the University of Music there and in Italy with Gino Bechi. He is a member of the Vienna Volksopera, where his roles have included Escamillo (Carmen), Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), Scarpia (Tosca), Michele (Il tabarro) and Jokanaan (Salome). He is particularly well-known for his interpretation of Mozart baritone and bass-baritone roles and has sung Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) and Don Giovanni for opera houses including Vienna State Opera, Vienna Volksoper, Berlin State Opera and in Madrid, Barcelona, Düsseldorf, Paris, Monte Carlo and Santiago.
Other engagements include Spirit Messenger (Die Frau ohne Schatten) for Bavarian State Opera, Harlequin (Ariadne auf Naxos) for Vienna State Opera, the Dutchman (Der fliegende Holländer) for Opéra national du Rhin, Don Fernando (Fidelio) for the Salzburg Festival and Don Pizarro (Fidelio) with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
Holecek appears widely in concert, in venues including Carnegie Hall, New York, and the Vienna Musikverein and Konzerthaus. His recordings include DVDs of Don Giovanni and Die Zauberflöte and CDs of Die Zauberflöte, Die Feen, Irrelohe and Christophoros. His awards include the Goldenen Schikaneder for his performances as Jokanaan.
