法國大提琴家奧赫利安‧帕斯卡在十九歲時,就一舉奪得2014年傅爾曼大提琴大賽首獎、觀眾票選獎、以及恩斯特.托赫大提琴協奏曲最佳演奏的特別獎項。更早在帕斯卡十一歲時,他贏得羅斯托波維奇青少年音樂大賽,2011年也在法國土魯斯的納瓦拉國際大提琴大賽上獲獎。2013年帕斯卡於芬蘭赫爾辛基舉辦的保羅國際大提琴大賽奪得二獎,由大提琴家諾拉斯率領的大賽評審團,盛讚在法國新生代演奏家中,帕斯卡的演奏富有罕見能量,在與赫爾辛基愛樂及指揮家斯托加德同台,演出法國作曲家杜替耶《遙遠的世界》一作時,更凸顯了帕斯卡精湛與優雅兼具的音樂天賦。
帕斯卡出身於音樂世家,就讀巴黎高等音樂學院期間,師從大提琴家菲利浦.穆勒,也曾師事大提琴家威斯佩維,更多次在傳奇大提琴巨擘亞諾斯.史塔克的大師班接受指導。現於德國克倫貝格音樂學院師事大提琴名家海默生。
2013年帕斯卡在法國阿爾比「音樂之鄰」室內樂音樂節、橘園音樂節、「音樂相遇」音樂節、法國南特「熱狂之日」、日本「熱狂之日」等多個音樂節登台,2014年再度受邀於法國南特與日本「熱狂之日」音樂節演出,並在法國佛拉摩瑞的「拉威爾之日」音樂節、橘園音樂節、西班牙普拉德斯的卡薩爾斯音樂節,以及富盛名的拉羅克.昂迪戎國際鋼琴音樂節,登台演出室內樂,而同年夏季於法國廣播公司主辦的蒙佩利爾音樂節中的四場演出更是受到了高度好評。
2015年帕斯卡獲得瑞士奧芬基金會青年獨奏家獎助,在瑞士蘇黎世市政廳與俄國指揮大師費多雪夫,及其率領的莫斯科柴科夫斯基交響樂團同台演出,另外也參與了德國波昂貝多芬音樂節、漢堡俄羅斯室內樂音樂節,以及在法國柯爾馬、蘭斯、阿爾比等地的音樂節,更在德國梅克倫堡─波莫瑞音樂節獲得觀眾票選獎項,以及多次與香港小交響樂團及指揮家波彭合作,於日本新方舟音樂廳演出多場協奏曲與獨奏音樂會。
帕斯卡在2016年與法國薩瓦省國立管弦樂團、日本廣島交響樂團合作演出聖桑的大提琴協奏曲,並與德國紐倫堡交響樂團及指揮海姆瑞斯合作,演出柴科夫斯基著名的洛可可主題變奏曲。而德弗乍克經典的大提琴協奏曲,帕斯卡不僅與法國蒙地卡羅愛樂管弦樂團同台演出,也成為他與指揮家杜梅及日本關西愛樂管弦樂團,首度造訪大阪與東京的曲目。頻繁的演出行程外,帕斯卡並受邀與指揮家葛里菲斯及慕尼黑室內樂團,共同錄製德國作曲家丹濟的大提琴協奏曲。
今年帕斯卡不僅將與德意志薩爾布魯根廣播愛樂管弦樂團合作,演出艾爾加的大提琴協奏曲,並與西班牙巴塞隆納交響樂團、德國法蘭克福布蘭登堡國立管弦樂團、法國薩瓦省國立管弦樂團等樂團合作,更將首度登上頗富盛名的柏林音樂廳舉行獨奏會。而帕斯卡與小提琴名家杜梅、魯塞夫、席瓦、大提琴家德馬凱特等音樂家合作的布拉姆斯弦樂六重奏,以及由指揮家葛里菲斯率領慕尼黑室內樂團,所共同錄製的丹濟大提琴協奏曲錄音也將在今年發行。
帕斯卡的演奏用琴,是1850年由法國製琴師查爾斯─阿道夫.甘德所製造的大提琴。

At only 19 years old, French cellist Aurélien Pascal was awarded the Grand Prix, Audience Prize and Special Prize for the best performance of a concerto by Ernst Toch at the 2014 Emanuel Feuermann Competition under the patronage of Daniel Barenboim. Prior to that in 2013, he was 2nd Prize-winner at the International Paulo Cello Competition in Helsinki, the prestigious jury led by Arto Noras praised the emergence of a new French talent gifted with both rare power and superb elegance. These qualities were highlighted in his interpretation of Dutilleux ‘Tout un monde lointain’ during the final performed with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by John Storgårds. Already, at the age of 11, Aurélien was named winner of the 1st Rostropovitch Junior Competition and in 2011 was awarded the Guy Bonnemain Prize for the best new talent at the International André Navarra Competition in Toulouse.
Born into a family of musicians, Aurélien Pascal studied at the CNSMDP with Philippe Müller and attended master classes given by the legendary János Starker in Paris, Basel and Bloomington, as well as studying with Frans Helmerson at the Prades Festival Academy and with Peter Wispelwey in Beauvais. He is currently a student of Frans Helmerson at the Kronberg Academy in Germany.
In 2013, Aurélien performed at the 7th edition of the Tons Voisins Festival in Albi, at the Orangerie de Sceaux Festival as well as at the Rencontres Musicales de Calenzana and La Folle Journée de Nantes, after which he was immediately invited to give five concerts in several cities for La Folle Journée au Japon. In 2014, Aurélien was invited to La Folle Journée in Japan (5 concerts) after his success in La Folle Journée de Nantes. Summer 2014 saw him give four highly acclaimed concerts at the Festival de Radio – France in Montpellier before he performs chamber music at La Roque d’Anthéron International Piano Festival, at Les Journées Ravel in Montfort L’Amaury, again at the Orangerie de Sceaux Festival and at the Casals Festival in Prades.
In 2015, Aurélien Pascal was accepted into the Sponsorship Programme of the Orpheum Foundation for the Advancement of Young Soloists. This featured a performance in the Zurich Tonhalle together with the Moscow Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra and Vladimir Fedoseyev, following this, and invitation to record the Danzi concerto with Howard Griffiths and the Munich Chamber Orchestra in May 2016. The same year saw his debut in Tokyo in May then in Osaka where he performed the Dvořák Concerto with the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra under Augustin Dumay. Summer 2015 saw Aurélien perform at the Beethoven Festival in Bonn, Russian Chamber Music Festival in Hamburg, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where he was awarded the “Prix du public” and was re-invited, as well as many festivals in France such as those in Colmar, Reims, Prades, Albi. He has recently given concerts with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Christoph Poppen and a recital and concerto performance in the Ark Nova mobile concert hall, Japan.
At the beginning of 2016, Aurélien performed a series of concerts with the Orchestre national des Pays de la Loire and Pascal Rophé, the Hiroshima Symphony and Clemens Schuldt (Saint-Saens). He went on to play with the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra (Dvořák), Nuremberg Symphony and Michael Helmrath (Rococo Variations).
In early 2017 will give performances of the Elgar’s Concerto with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrucken, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, Brandenburg Staatsorchester Frankfurt and l’Orchestre des Pays de Savoie. Aurélien will also give his debut recital at the prestigious Berlin Konzerthaus.
Aurélien’s first recording of the Brahms Sextet with Augustin Dumay, Henri Demarquette, Miguel da Silva, Svetlin Roussev was followed by his CD of the Danzi Cello Concerto with Howard Griffiths and the Munich Chamber Orchestra to be released in 2017.
